Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship: This scholarship is intended to help students who are planning to participate in archaeological field work for the first time. Students majoring in archaeology or related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply. The Scholarship Fund provides $1000 each to help pay expenses associated with participation in an archaeological field work project (minimum stay one month/4 weeks). Deadline: March 1, 2014

The Ntusi Archaeology Project, Uganda Jun 21 - Jul 26, 2014. Ntusi is a site covering an area of more than 100 hectares, situated in the grasslands of south western Uganda. The 2014 field school will seek to test current interpretations of the site by conducting excavation in new areas, applying new analytical techniques and exploring Ntusi’s relationship with its immediate hinterland. The Anth 4701 Internship in Forensic Anthropology is a practical, hands-on course in forensic anthropology. Students will use their knowledge of forensic methodologies for the examination and identification of human remains as well as the writing of official forensic anthropology reports through work in an official morgue at the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Department, Florida. This opportunity is open to all students worldwide.
