Certifications and Licensure - Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Globally preferred by employers, the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection, deterrence and investigation. Click for additional details.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Becoming a Certified Internal Auditor validates your status as a professional within the internal audit field. There are also Specialty Certifications within the auditing profession; they are: Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), and Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA). Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Since 1978, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) program has been the globally accepted standard of achievement among information systems (IS) audit, control and security professionals.

Council for Accoutancy and Taxation

The Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation® (ACAT) was established in 1973 as a non-profit independent testing, accrediting and monitoring organization. The Council accredits independent practitioners who specialize in providing financial, accounting and taxation services to individuals and small to mid-size businesses. ACAT confers five professional designations:

  • Accredited Business Accountant®/Accredited Business Advisor® (ABA)
  • Accredited Tax Advisor® (ATA)
  • Accredited Tax Preparer® (ATP)
  • Elder Care Specialist® (ECS)
  • International Accredited Business Accountant (available only to practitioners who do not practice within the United States of America)
