SAISA Match Racing Championships
Great Oaks (High School Regatta)

SAISA Match Racing Championships: An outstanding weekend for the USF sailing team. Will Stocke, Chris Stocke, Abby Featherstone, and Fernando Monllor traveled to the College of Charleston to compete in the SAISA Match Racing Championships. They finished with a record of 7 wins and only 1 loss, winning the regatta, and qualifying to represent USF and SAISA at the ICSA National Match Racing Championships in Texas, November 16-18, 2012.

Great Oaks Regatta: On the homefront, USFSP hosted the High School SAISA qualifying regatta for the Great Oaks Championships. Many thanks to Dominique Wright, Colleen Hartman, Ben Mohney, Tom Hamby, AJ Degen, Candice Stewart, Ali Yarbrough, and Young Jo for helping to run the event. It is a great recruiting opportunity as well, since sixteen teams from as far away as the Carolinas, Bahamas, and USVI attended.

Looking Ahead: Next week is busy again, with the Women's team traveling to the Victorian Urn Regatta at Connecticut College, and the coed team competing at the SAISA Fall Dinghy Championships.
