SAISA Women's Dinghy Championships Fall 2012 Write up: Although it was the same venue [as the Singlehanded Qualifiers], and the same competition, Sunday's results were unfortunately a different story. In the SAISA qualifier for ACC's (the Atlantic Coast Championships), the College of Charleston showed their doublehanded skills, winning by a wide margin, followed by host University of Miami. With three teams advancing to the ACC's, the race for the 3rd spot was extremely tight, coming down to the last 3 minutes of the final race, after 4 hours of racing. The Eckerd sailors got the job done, leaving the USF team with a somber drive home. |
