SAISA Women's Singlehanded Regatta Fall 2012 Write up: The University of Miami hosted the SAISA qualification for the Singlehanded Nationals on Saturday. Eleven sailors from 4 different schools participated, and USF's Abby Featherstone was triumphant, winning convincingly. She will advance to the Nationals in Long Beach, CA in November, along with Men's USF qualifier Chris Stocke. Dominique Wright finished 3rd, just 2 points away from giving USF a 1-2 overall, while Colleen Hartman was just 2 points out of 5th. If it had been a team-scored event, USF would have dominated the competition. |
