THESIS SUBMISSION

Note: USF St. Petersburg graduate students are no longer required to submit their approved theses through the USF Tampa Graduate School. The final approval of the format after your committee has approved the intellectual content takes place in the USF St. Petersburg Office of Graduate Studies in Bayboro 204. USF St. Petersburg students DO NOT submit through the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) process, but rather the final manuscript is to be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies in PDF format via email, flash drive, or CD. Deadlines (needed forms and web pages are embedded in the text)

	SPRING 2013	SUMMER 2013
Complete a Thesis Student Information Request Form and submit to Graduate Studies	within the first three weeks of the Spring semester	within the first three weeks of the Summer semester.
Deadline to apply for Graduation (Graduate Degree Application Form )	2/1/13	6/7/13
Submit PDF version of your final committee-approved thesis/manuscript to the Office of Graduate Studies. Hard copy/paper theses will not be accepted. Final submission must be in PDF form. In addition to the thesis itself, a completed Certificate of Approval Form must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies prior to 6 p.m. on the date due.	3/29/13	7/12/13
Deadline to register for the Commencement Ceremony if you plan to attend. Complete the ceremony registration form found on the USFSP Commencement web page.	TBA	TBA
Deadline to achieve final clearance on thesis/manuscript from the Office of Graduate Studies (grade changes from Z to S on transcript if all requirements are met.	5/1/13	8/1/13

Format Requirements and Resources

The submission for the format check is no longer required. However, students are still responsible for meeting all the format requirements as outlined below. Graduate Studies does not specify a specific structure or organization for the main body of the manuscript (such as the content, number of chapters, chapter organization, etc.). However, individual graduate programs may require a specific style (i.e. APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.), set forth by their program throughout the manuscript. The table below outlines the sections of the manuscript and also the page numbering requirements.
