Lead-Learn-Serve is
a comprehensive, collaborative program with the goals to develop student commitment to civic engagement, to expand student engagement in curriculum based service learning, to foster student leadership through curricular and co-curricular activities that assist social service agencies meet both the challenges of the current economic downturn and the long term needs for leadership development and sustainability, and to support strategies that facilitate community/university dialogue on issues that affect constituents.
Membership in this program is limited to only 50 students per year. If selected, you will have the opportunity to:
Be a member of a learning community that supports your academic success
Learn about leadership and practice what you learn as you serve the community – skills that will help you to achieve your future career goals
Receive priority access to attend special events, trips, retreats, and tickets for special guest presenters
Learn from program coordinators and instructors who are dedicated ensuring your success as a student
Enhance your resume and receive co-curricular recognition on your transcripts
Receive $500 in scholarship money for Spring semester upon successful completion of Fall semester requirements

USFSP was awarded a Learn and Serve America grant of $395,000, one of only 36 grants awarded nationally, to engage students in service-learning projects and promote community service while enhancing student academic and civic skills. The grant supports the student philanthropy boards and the Lead Learn Serve program at USFSP.
