Group Fitness Class Descriptions

HIIT Fitness


Instructor: Eloy

Butts & Guts

Tone those "trouble zones" using light weights and body resistance. Butts and Guts trains and tightens all regions of the lower body and core. This concentrated toning class focuses on the abs, glutes, legs and lower back.

Ab Attack

A 30 minute abdominal workout.

Multi-level strength based practice, designed to work the body to the core and get your blood flowing. Clear your mind and challenge your body with sun salutations and a series of poses including balances and inversions.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a great class for yogis of all levels, including beginners, that want a more relaxing practice. It emphasizes stretching and relaxation, as well as breathing techniques. It also incorporates balance and some strength-building poses, like warriors.

Booty Camp

Shape and tone your booty and legs in an upbeat, challenging, and fun boot camp class. This single hour workout is great for booty beginners to masters, fun and effective at every level!

Power Yoga

Power Yoga is a fast-paced, high energy class. It is appropriate for all levels. Power Yoga emphasizes strength-building and endurance poses, based around sun salutation series. It helps to build strength, stamina, and flexibility.

Totally Toned

A full body, toning class incorporating balance, Bosu, medicine balls, bands and steps.

An exciting, fun, dance based workout to improve cardiovascular endurance while following the moves of the instructor. You might even forget you are working out because you are having so much fun!

Meditation Yoga

Relax and Drop your worries from a stressful week with this one hour meditation yoga class. Great stretches, stabilization moves, and quiet meditation, for yoga beginners to the most experienced yogis.

Triple Threat

This fast-paced workout is a combination of cardio, strength, and agility trainings all in one. This combination of exercises will help you improve not only your muscle strength and endurance, but it will also challenge your mind and your muscles in a creative, positive way.

Basically BOSU

This innovative class incorporates the BOSU ball in several different ways, suitable for all fitness levels. It will allow you to engage both the small and large muscle groups at the same time for a more thorough and complete workout. This class will combine cardio, strength and toning exercises as well. You'll feel muscles kicking in that you normally do not use. This class will also help you strengthen your core, improve balance, build muscular endurance, and burn calories all while incorporating the BOSU ball.

This upbeat class is a fun workout that combines hip-hop dance moves with kickboxing. Set to upbeat music, this fast paced routine will keep you moving and make you sweat! All fitness levels are welcome. We'll show you the moves. Come out and have a blast at the USFSP Fitness Center!
